With nearly 20 years of expertise working with infants, toddlers, and school age children in a variety of settings, Dr. Firmin-Guyon provides leadership and guidance to a team of dedicated clinicians focused on helping your child get the tailored support they deserve.
With training in a wide range of evidence-based approaches, including D.I.R./Floortime, PROMPT, Sounds in Motion, the Wilson Reading System, and other specialized methodologies, she is committed to ongoing professional learning and staying current with the latest research. Her practice is grounded in a neurodiversity-affirming philosophy that recognizes and celebrates each individual's unique strengths, communication style, and learning profile.
Throughout her career, she has served as a consultant to a leading pediatric mental health facility, multidisciplinary practices, and independent schools, helping to create inclusive and effective learning environments.
Dr. Firmin-Guyon is actively engaged in research, with a particular focus on the intersection of early childhood mental health and communication. Her contributions to the field aim to enhance our understanding of how early mental health influences communication development and to develop effective intervention strategies.
She is board-certified and has been honored with several professional accolades, including multiple "Best of" awards, recognizing her excellence and commitment to the field. She is a proud alumna of Baruch College, New York University, Columbia University, and Rocky Mountain University. An animal lover at heart, she spends her free time supporting local rescue organizations.
